Documentary filmaker is looking for people to share their experiences of schizophrenia.

Johanna Wagner, the acclaimed Edinburgh College of Art film student is currently working on a documentary on schizophrenia. Her film, "The Inner Space" was showcases at the Scottish Mental Health & Film Festival last year.

Her aim is to create a portrait of one or more individuals who have an experience of schizophrenia. The focus will be on how they are coping now, their past experiences and the help they received etc.

The purpose of the film is to try to understand the experience of living with the disorder.

Joanna is looking for people to interview who would like to share their story with her. For both research purposes (to hear different stories and accounts to build up a picture) and also for the purpose of finding characters to portray in my film.

Johanna said " I am interested in trying to make a small contribution to the debate on mental illness. I feel that these subjects need to be discussed openly and every opportunity should be taken to enlighten people on mental illness".
